Bank Holiday – Easter Monday 2012
Woke up to a beautiful sunny day, I wish! Dark, gloomy, windy and wet. Well what do you expect? Still, I had planned what I was going to do and I wasn’t going to let a bit of bad weather stop me. The plan was: 10 km walk, 4 x those steps and pop in…

Week 3 progress report
Week 3 is now complete, well it will be in 14 hours, and I am on target! So, how’s it been going? Climbing Everest – only did 6 sets of the steps this week. I was ahead of schedule so that was fine. Had a couple of woozy turns on the steps, did wonder if…

Why is it so difficult to eat what I want?
Eating at home is easy, so are packed lunches, but eating when I’m out and about’s a nightmare. “Why?” I hear you ask. Every town centre, shopping precinct, place of interest etc. is littered (ha ha) with places to eat. Let’s take Lakeside Shopping Centre as an example (other shopping centres are available) http://www.lakeside.uk.com/Dining/Food-court Loads…

PMA or curl up and die?
This post’s a bit different, dealing with the ‘other’ side of my life. I started it a little while back but, as the last couple of days have been a bit ‘challenging’ it seemed like a good time to finish it. Positive Mental Attitude, are you a glass half full or half empty person? Fortunately I’m…

Thank you Heather Small!
Well, that’s it. Week one is complete and it’s all green! (If I hadn’t met the targets for the week it would be red) And I’m ahead of the game, did my weights and rowing at the gym, 12.48 km walk and 2 sets of the steps. How can I prove to you I’m…

5 days done.
Day 5 yesterday and I’ve met my first week’s targets, in fact I’ve exceeded some of them! Really pleased with that as my aim was to start strong …. while I can! I’ve started writing entries for my blog a few times over the last few days, but on each occasion I’ve been too tired…

I wasn’t going to post tonight ……
………. but it’s been an interesting day! Woke up early to discover that I ached, and I mean really ached, in fact I’m still aching now. Lovely feeling!!!! Proves I worked hard yesterday. I suppose it may also prove that I didn’t stretch as much as I should have afterwards, but I was in a…

Day one ……. wow!!!!!
What a day! I was determined to have a good start to my challenges, and I have! I got up extra early and went for a 7 km walk, got home and had a yummy breakfast, did the ‘birthday things’ then set off for the gym. My new program is a killer! Thanks Darryl! I…
